Perry D. Frazer was a professional gunsmith with more than fifty years of practical experience. Frazer also wrote many outdoor instructional titles such as Rodmaking for Beginners, Amateur Rodmaking, Canoe Cruising and Camping, and Fishing Tackle. Frazer lived in Ridgewood, New Jersey.

Dated but useful material.

As a fledgling, self-proclaimed gunsmith I enjoyed this book. One particular reason is reading it I felt like it was a mixture of gunsmith history & basic technique. Akin to having your grandfather teaching his trade how they did it "back in the old days". Is this book for everyone? No, but if you enjoy this kind of old school reading that gives you very basic information written in the late 1930's-40's then you'll enjoy Elementary Gunsmithing.
Don't purchase this book with expectations of multiple large, detailed drawings/pictures. You will be disappointed if you do.
