This is a very interesting book. Besides these spectacular recipes, there is a ton about American history from the 18Th century and great photography of the desserts. This book will delight history buffs and foodies alike.

did expect more straight history and less interpretation, but quite enjoyed the book, as well as all the recipes I've tried so far. Don't have a tv, so this is based on the book only, had never heard of the television program.
